Wow.  Can I just say Wow!!!   Amy from the Bobby Bones Show spearheaded this event at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville.  She partnered with the Bobby Bones Show, TEEMHaiti and numana to make it happen – Check out their links above!

First of all, What is 30 Abes?  It’s a campaign to promote an awesome food packing event for Haiti that happened today.  30 Abes represents 30 cents–the cost of one life sustaining meal.  For 30 cents, numana can provide a meal of rice, soy, dried pinto beans, and a vitamin/mineral substance.  Also, included in the 30 cents is the packaging and international shipping of food.

Today, a BUNCH of people (I never caught the final count) got together to pack 534,064 meals in 50 minutes.  Yes.  534,064 meals in 50 minutes.  That broke the previous world record.  Guinness Book of World Records was even on site to watch it happen and verified it.  Along with Amy, Bobby Bones emceed, and they were joined by Pierre and Franckis, the director and his brother from Maison Des Enfants De Dieu.  This is the orphanage that will be receiving all of the meals prepared today. Check out the images below from this awe-inspiring event – Enjoy!
