My December | Nashville Event Photography in Nashville, TN

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!  Happy Belated Hanukah!  Merry Belated Christmas!  Happy Belated New Year!

Whew…did I miss any?  I’m very sure that I did.  I hope that you all had a wonderful Holiday Season.  I sure did!!

The husband and I hit Orlando (the in-laws) for Thanksgiving, and Colorado (my folks’) for Christmas (that mountain picture is where they live!!!  Gorgeous, eh?).  In between our whirlwind traveling, I had the privilege of doing event photography at 5 different charity events throughout the month of December.

Help-Portrait was one of those events.  Talk about an awesome experience.  As their website states, Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need.  There were so many volunteers that gave up their time to make this project happen.  Many men and women from several missions around Nashville came to have their hair and make up done and have their photographs taken.  Everyone got to walk out with at least one portrait of themselves – often the first picture they had of themselves in years!!

I also got to help out at Cross Point Church’s First Annual A Merry Music City Christmas.  If you live in Nashville and did not get a chance to check it out this year, then you MUST add that to your list for next year!!  There was sledding (despite the 60+ degree temps), ice skating, a train ride, s’mores, hot chocolate, photo booths – not to mention the awesome concerts… Jo Dee Messina, Matt Wertz, Natalie Grant, Danny Gokey, Brandon Heath, and Plumb were all part of the extravaganza!!  Some fun pictures from that event are posted below.

Stay tuned in 2014 for some new stories about my clients and fun and awesome photographs!
