About Katie

Everyone has their experiences.  The places we’ve gone, the people we’ve met and the moments that shape us into what we are.  I love nothing more than discovering and living these experiences and can’t wait to hear yours!!

Here are a few pieces of me:

My parents gave me the tools to succeed when I was young.  Love, trust, encouragement, self-respect.

As a kid, I loved to make up new combinations of food.  One of my favorites were Supremes:  ritz crackers, peanut butter, sharp cheddar cheese, and bread & butter pickles…sounds gross, I know, but don’t knock it til you try it!!

Born in Colorado, raised in central Missouri and west-central Illinois, I’ve also called Spain, Chicago and Nashville home.  I LOVE to travel.  England, Greece, Turkey, Hawaii, Cancun, and Buenos Aires are several of my favorites.

I got to grow up on the craziness that was a church-camp campus.  One of the best experiences of my life!  That’s where my boss, a.ka. my dad handed me a camera for the first time and told me it was my turn to take the camp promo shots.

I have transcripts from 5 different colleges and universities.  Luckily it only took me an extra year to graduate!!     I had the opportunity to live and study in Spain for about a year.  !Me encanta España y el idioma!

I ran an independent coffeeshop for 7 years before I decided to hand it over into other capable hands and to take my photography to the next level.

I met my husband at church.  He has a passion for Spanish, coffee, travel, and Scrabble.  He is my best friend and biggest ally and cheerleader.
